Ministry

QPC members have always been passionate about ministry. Included in the various departments was WMC, Christ Ambassadors, Missionettes, Youth group, and Sunday School. Our women's ministry was known for providing quilts to students in Bible college and for mothers with new babies. In 1990, Pastor Steve Kohls and others started the Young at Heart ministry and got the boys and girls involved with Pioneer Club. Then in 1995, the church took part in "Every Home for Christ."

2005 was a difficult year for the American South due to hurricane Katrina. Under Pastor Wood’s leadership, a few members (Pastor Wood, Krystal Jessup, and Cheryl Kauffeldt) formed a team and travelled to Louisiana to help those affected by the storm. The youth of QPC also did their part to minister to others through their group “Evolve”. They met on Tuesday nights for Bible study and games, and ministered to others by participating for several years in World Vision’s ‘Thirty Hour Famine’, and during various outings and youth rallies. In 2008, four church members travelled to Trinidad (Farren and Cheryl Supersad, Pastor Dan and Lianne Wood) to build a church and minister to children. When Pastor David Gogolin came to serve in 2011, he had a vision to minister to community members all over the township. He restarted the men’s breakfast, served as a cook, and encouraged church members to participate in bringing the gospel to every resident of the Hardwood Lake area with “Why” booklets.

Most recently, as a result of the pandemic years of 2020-2022, QPC has taken advantage of the rare opportunity to minister to people outside of their community. When churches all over Canada were asked to close their doors for a period of time, QPC services went online through Facebook Live and ministered to hundreds of people from all over the world who were searching for the proclamation of God’s Word online. When we were allowed to open our doors at 25% capacity, QPC transitioned to three Sunday morning services for ten people at a time so that all could worship the Lord as a family. In the middle of those pandemic years, our church decided to help those in the local community by delivering a hot meal to their doors during Christmas week. Then in 2022, with the help of new members, we were excited to host our first official Trunk or Treat event with the purpose of reaching children and their parents with the gospel. Last, and certainly not least, in 2023, our little church on a hill made a big impact on the community by serving our neighbors with outreaches during Easter and Canada Day. The past fifty years of ministry has seen ups and downs, negatives and positives, but one thing has been consistent—God’s faithfulness to His people. Matthew 5:16 says, In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven. The future of Quadeville Pentecostal Church is bright because His people have decided to shine their light before others. May our faithful and merciful Lord continue to do a saving work in Quadeville!
